How we rate casinos
How we compare
Every casino gets an editorial score out of 100, built from four things a table player cares about. It is not a player vote, a payout test or a promise that one casino wins more often.
The four parts of the score
30
points
Tables in the lobby
European, French or American roulette, blackjack and baccarat. A lobby that names the wheel scores more than a section that just says roulette.
20
points
Bonus fit for table play
A clear wagering multiple helps. Points come off when roulette, blackjack and baccarat are excluded from the bonus, or when no multiple is given.
25
points
Rand banking
A rand-only account with minimums and payout times per method beats a currency toggle or a list without amounts.
25
points
Licence disclosure
A named authority plus a licence number scores full marks; without a number, less. Offshore is never treated as a South African licence.

Why Apollo is two points behind White Lotus
Same tables, same banking, same licence. Apollo loses two table points because it is presented as a slots casino.
Apollo's package is 30× with tables excluded; White Lotus is 40× with blackjack at 50%. Both score 12 for bonus fit.
Why Springbok is not first
Best rand banking, clearest bonus rules. But those rules leave roulette, blackjack and baccarat off the contribution list: 6 of 20 for bonus fit.
Its Curaçao licence has no number (15 of 25), and the wheel type isn't named (26 of 30).
What doesn't change the score
- Commission. Affiliate payments never add or remove points.
- Package size. Springbok's R11,500 and Apollo's R9,999 earn no extra points on their own.
- Short-term results. The score rates the casino, not anyone's wins or losses.

Gambling should cost what a night out costs, not what rent costs. If it stops being fun, get free, confidential help.
- Decide what you can afford to lose, and treat it as spent before you deposit.
- Never chase a loss with a bigger coupon. Wagering is a condition, not a route to a withdrawal.
